Learning Support Mentor - Science, Engineering and Computing
Cambridge | Full-time, Permanent | 20,065 per annum

We're looking for a Learning Support Mentor to join the Science, Engineering and Computing team at a leading FE College in Cambridge. This is your chance to inspire and support learners as they gain the confidence, skills and qualifications to succeed.
What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Helping learners work towards their targets and EHCP goals
  • Adapting activities and resources to suit individual learning styles
  • Encouraging independence, resilience and progress - both in the classroom and in practical workshops
  • Taking part in training and CPD to develop your skills
About you:
  • Empathetic, patient and adaptable with a genuine passion for helping others succeed
  • A great communicator who can build positive relationships with learners and staff
  • Flexible, proactive and motivated to make an impact every day
What you'll need:
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
  • Experience supporting young people or SEND learners is a bonus, but not essential - enthusiasm and commitment matter most!
