At Acorn Wood, we're looking for creative, compassionate and adaptable practitioners to join our small, nurturing independent special school, located in beautiful rural Shropshire.

Who We Are

Acorn Wood is a unique, independent day school for children aged 5-16 with a wide range of additional needs.

Neuroscientifically-informed Trauma-informed & attachment-sensitive Passionate about outdoor and experiential learning Grounded as a school in relationships, inclusivity, and creativity
Our setting is unconditionally inclusive, culturally considerate, and psychologically informed. We offer every child a personalised, flexible curriculum inspired by the National Curriculum--but shaped around their interests, strengths, and their developmental stage.

We are looking for educators who are:

Imaginative and flexible in their approach Passionate about helping children flourish emotionally and academically Ready to think creatively and outside of traditional models Comfortable using nature, creativity, and exploration as part of daily teaching Energetic, active and enjoy teaching through the outdoors
Whether you're bringing a love of the arts, a curiosity-led approach, a therapeutic mindset, or tools for emotional regulation, you'll be supported to thrive and innovate with us.
