The Role



We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Beauty Therapy lecturer to join our successful team at City College Plymouth. You will be responsible for leading your course and delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment within the Beauty Therapy area, catering to students aged 14 and above. This includes both full-time learners and apprentices, as well as those undertaking specialist qualifications.

You will oversee the planning, delivery, assessment and success of your courses, ensuring students gain the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the beauty industry. Your role will involve monitoring the attendance and achievement of students across the courses that you teach on and report KPI&s back to the programme manager and the team with which you teach. You will work closely with the teaching team to ensure that quality standards are maintained, and with students to help them achieve their full potential and progress in their careers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching Beauty Therapy courses and the ability to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons in various aspects of the industry. A passion for supporting students& success, staying up-to-date with industry trends, and maintaining high standards of teaching are essential to this role.

You will also be expected to contribute to the development of the courses on which you teach, engage with industry professionals to provide enhanced enrichment to your students, and participate in departmental meetings to continually enhance the student experience. A recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards achieving one is essential, alongside a level 3 Beauty therapy qualification that includes body and facial electrical therapy.
