West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds 0.4 FTE - Permanent Commencing September 2025 Salary: 28,443 - 35,484 per annum (dependent on relevant experience and qualifications) Actual salary: 11,377 - 14,193 per annum
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a background in Accounting and Finance to join our team as a Lecturer. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing a range of further education Accounting and Finance programmes, contributing to the development of both current and new course offerings, and supporting curriculum planning and materials development.

The position involves teaching Accounting and Finance qualifications to a diverse range of students across the college, learning centres, and workplaces as required. As a key member of the Accounting and Finance delivery team, you will contribute to the development of standard schemes of work and lesson plans, participate in course team and departmental meetings, and engage in the ongoing development of the curriculum.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for disseminating exemplar teaching, learning, and assessment materials, contributing to regular staff development sessions, and assisting in the creation of the annual self-assessment and improvement plan for the subject area. A central aspect of this role is to maintain and promote the highest standards of quality within the Accounting and Finance programmes.

The successful candidate will be confident in delivering both in-person and online instruction and will hold a degree in Accounting, Business Studies, or a related field. An AAT qualification, or a comprehensive understanding of it, would be considered advantageous.
