To support our continuing growth, The Glasgow School for Business and Society (GSBS) and its Department of Finance, Accounting, and Risk (FAR) is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Accounting with Finance, Business Analytics and AI specialisation. The post will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, conducting research, and developing curriculum that links traditional accounting and finance practices with emerging technological capabilities. This role combines expertise in accounting and finance fundamentals with advanced analytical methods and artificial intelligence applications for business contexts. It is intended to support FAR to deepen its research and teaching capability in applied business analytics and AI. The ideal person will have a strong commitment to using data analysis to support decision making in accounting, finance, and business.


Applicants must possess a PhD or PhD near completion or equivalent higher qualification. Applicants must possess relevant qualifications in the subject area and have demonstrated experience of teaching to the wider academic or professional community, working as part of a team and have the potential for an emergent research profile in an area consistent with the strategic direction of the Department. Relevant industry experience would be looked upon favourably and the post could suit an individual with an extensive industry background able to demonstrate the potential for excellent teaching and research as well as an ability to extend our academic collaborations within accounting, finance and business sectors.



A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE is desirable.
