We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lecturer in Animal Studies to join our team on a part-time basis. This role focuses on leading the Level 2 Certificate for Animal Nursing Assistants (ANA) programme and delivering high-quality teaching across Levels 1 to 3. Ideal for someone with a veterinary nursing background, this position combines classroom delivery with the opportunity to guide and support students as they begin their careers in animal care and veterinary support.
You will develop engaging lesson plans, deliver both theory and practical sessions, and support learners with a wide range of needs, including those with SEND and EHCPs. You will also monitor student progress, provide detailed feedback, and plan enrichment activities such as industry visits and competitions. Your role will involve supporting student progression through dedicated sessions to help learners take confident steps into employment or further study.
This role requires a Level 3 qualification or above in an animal-related field, with a strong preference for those with veterinary nursing experience. Previous teaching or training experience is desirable, alongside excellent organisational and communication skills. If you are passionate about animal welfare, education, and inspiring the next generation of animal care professionals, we love to hear from you.
