The Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnologies (CEB) is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Biochemical Engineering / Biotechnology. As part of the School of Engineering and Innovation within the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS), this role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to our vibrant academic community.

The department benefits from a close and productive relationship between chemical engineering and chemistry in both teaching and research. We are seeking candidates with a first degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or Industrial Biotechnology. You should demonstrate a strong potential for publishing in internationally recognised journals and securing external research funding.
We are particularly interested in candidates with ability to teach subjects in biotechnology and biochemical engineering, such as bioprocess engineering, downstream bioprocessing, biocatalysis, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, environmental and/or industrial biotechnology, bioinformatics and biomaterials in our current and future BEng/MEng/MSc programmes.
