37 Hours Per Week, Monday to Thursday 8.30sm to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm (1 hour for lunch)





Bishop Burton College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lecturer in Equine to join our outstanding Equine Department. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the learning experience of our students and help shape the future workforce of the equine industry.



As a Lecturer in Equine, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of teaching and tutorials across our equine provision, supporting students to achieve their full potential. You will also undertake the role of Group Tutor, contribute to curriculum development, and establish strong links with employers to enhance the student experience.



The ideal candidate will hold a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as, science, performance, equitation and husbandry, Veterinary Science (with an equine focus), or Animal Science (with substantial equine modules). You must also have at least one year's teaching and/or training experience and relevant industry experience. A teaching qualification and assessor's qualification are essential (or a willingness to work towards), they must also hold, as a minimum, a BHS AI (British Horse Society Assistant Instructor) qualification.



We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, flexible, and resilient, with a strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards in teaching and learning. You must also be comfortable working with young people, able to address challenging behaviours appropriately, and motivated to create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment.
