About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for a part time (hourly paid) Lecturer in Game Art and Games Design, with specialisms ranging from concept to prototype production. Candidates must possess excellent industry skills in using Maya, Photoshop and Unreal. The post covers two key undergraduate modules: XB2006 Games Loops (both programmes) and XB2005 Game Art Pipeline (Game Art programme). We will consider separate appointments, depending on candidate skill sets.
BA (Hons) Game Art and BA (Hons) Games Design are based within a specialist studio in the Victoria Building on the main campus. The building is also home to Animation, Design and Fashion programmes and the university's bespoke exhibition space, the PR1 Gallery.
About you:
We are seeking a positive individual who has a passion for games, an excellent understanding of diverse learning styles and the ability to support learners within the HE sector. You should bring a flexible approach to learning and teaching and a willingness to work effectively and constructively with colleagues and students. The successful candidate/s for this post must be student-focused and have Higher Education delivery experience and/or relevant industry experience. Applicants will need to have a undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and preferably a post graduate qualification in a relevant subject.
