The School of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Faculty of Law, Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Greenwich is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in History (fixed term). The school is based at the historic world heritage site of the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich and has a strong interdisciplinary ethos.
The successful candidate will have expertise in global history and/or the history of the Ottoman empire and modern Middle East. They will join the History programme team and will be responsible for leading and teaching modules during a colleague's absence in session 2025-26. The successful candidate will also be required to contribute to other teaching as appropriate, as well as to the wider work of the school.
We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic individual who is committed to excellence in teaching, research and student support. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and experience of successfully delivering high-quality teaching.
