About the role




This is an exciting opportunity to join the vibrant School of Education and contribute to our International Initial Teacher Training programmes, as part of the wider Professional Development and International Education team.


Our provision for International Teacher Education (Distance Learning) continues to grow and currently includes the following programmes: PGCE Education, PGCE Education-Early Years Teaching, Assessment Only route to QTS, and PGCE iQTS. We also offer a range of education master's programme's and level 7 short courses.


You will work with an experienced and internationally recognised team of educators, predominantly supporting our distance learning ITT programmes.

What you can bring




The successful candidate will have extensive experience in teaching and learning and will contribute to the planning, delivery, and assessment of teaching on the PGCE (Distance Learning) programmes, with a focus on supporting international trainee teachers. They will ensure high-quality, research-informed teaching and learning, delivering sessions that inspire, empower, and equip trainees with real-world, applicable skills that support global employability.


You will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. If you are interested in teaching on the Master's provision, you should also be qualified to Master's level. You will contribute to the promotion of teaching, research and outreach activities across the Faculty of Education, Society and Creative Industries.
