We are seeking an enthusiastic, versatile, and industry-engaged Lecturer in Music and Sound Production to join our team. You will teach across our BA (Hons) Music & Sound Production and BA (Hons) Popular Music Performance & Production programmes, preparing students to thrive in all areas of music production and some performance.
You will bring interdisciplinary expertise to support a diverse curriculum, with teaching areas that may include sequencing, synthesis, interactive music, electronic music production, live sound, the music business and performance skills. As well as delivering practical and contextual teaching, you will supervise student projects, contribute to curriculum development, and support the academic administration of modules on the programmes.

Ideally, you will have experience teaching at undergraduate level, knowledge of the music industry, and familiarity with working in production and performance contexts, particularly using digital audio workstations. Qualifications in music theory, production or performance are an advantage, but not essential.
The successful candidate will teach across a range of contextual and theoretical subjects in this area, supervise projects, support the ongoing development of this provision, and may also be asked to assume organisational and administrative responsibilities at project, module and programme levels. The post-holder will also have opportunities to contribute to the Faculty's research, innovation and knowledge exchange environment and will support student recruitment and public engagement activities.
