West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds 0.7 FTE - 28 hours per week, 52 weeks per year - Fixed Term until June 2026 Salary: 28,443 - 40,350 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience) Actual Salary: 22,754 - 32,280 per annum
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable individual to deliver high-quality, dynamic teaching across a range of Sport programmes from Level 1 to Level 6. You will support learners' academic progress and practical skill development, preparing them for careers in sport, health, and fitness or further study in higher education. Your enthusiasm and subject expertise will help motivate students and develop a positive and inclusive learning environment.

You will work collaboratively with curriculum staff and external partners to deliver a rich and relevant learning experience. By embedding industry insights and real-world scenarios into the curriculum, you will help ensure that students gain the practical knowledge and employability skills needed for today sport and fitness industries. Opportunities to co-develop projects, trips, and work experience with employers are a core part of this role.

As part of a forward-thinking and supportive team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, setting and marking assessments, and providing constructive feedback that supports learner progress. A key focus will be maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, using innovative approaches and digital tools where appropriate, and contributing to the overall success and continuous improvement of the department.
