We are seeking a full time Lecturer to join our team, based at Uxbridge campus, to teach and assess Apprentices across a range of Engineering standards at Levels 3 and 4. The role will involve monitoring and supporting the apprentices to make sure they gain new skills, achieve to their full potential and complete their full standard qualification.
We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate the following:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. DET, PGCE) or willingness and ability to work towards teaching qualification, supported by the College
Experience of teaching and/or assessing at Level 3 and 4 within Mechanical Engineering
Ability to engage and motivate apprentices at Level 3 and 4 and the ability to deliver learning and assessment at the appropriate level
Understanding of Apprenticeships Standards and Accountability Framework
The UK Government have a scheme in place which enables eligible Further Education teachers within their first 5 years of teaching in Further Education to claim up to 6,000 directly from the Government.
