Duration: Fixed Term - 2 years

Hours: Full-time

Salary: \xc2\xa339,592 - \xc2\xa354,421 per annum

The School of Arts, English and Languages (AEL) at Queen\'s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Lecturer (Practice) in Writing and Cultural Engagement. You will deliver effective teaching and learning on bespoke writing and cultural modules for inbound study abroad cohorts at undergraduate level and contribute to the School\'s/area\'s administration/outreach and global mobility activity.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:

  • Obtained or be about to obtain a PhD in English (Language, Literature, or Creative Writing)
  • Evidence of publications and research activities relevant to stage of career
  • Experience in the delivery of lectures and seminars in a related or relevant area to English composition courses
  • Ability to design course materials and to plan and organise the delivery and assessment of taught courses.

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
