About the Candidate
We are seeking a highly creative and versatile applicant, with expertise across
Games, Animation, and VFX
, and the ability to lead, inspire, and support learners from Level 3 to Level 6. The successful candidate will be an excellent teaching practitioner, able to deliver engaging sessions with high expectations that enthuse, inspire, and stretch learners. You will monitor progress effectively, support student success, and prepare them for progression into employment or higher-level study.
Our facilities include industry-standard classrooms, an Innovation Centre with an Immersive 360 Igloo, and a Motion Capture studio, providing cutting-edge resources to enhance teaching and learning.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and skilled
Lecturer and Programme Lead in NextGen
to deliver and lead on our thriving Games, Animation and VFX provision, spanning Level 3 through to Higher Education (Level 6).
Based at our Bede Campus within the Arts Academy, the successful candidate will teach, assess, and lead high-quality programmes, shaping the next generation of creative talent and connecting learners with the best skills development and employment opportunities in the region.
You will work closely with
NextGen Skills Academy
and industry partners to ensure our provision remains innovative, industry-relevant, and aligned to current sector demands.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you could demonstrate some or all of the following:
Designing and delivering engaging, industry-relevant learning experiences within the field of games development.
Supporting learners to develop practical and technical skills aligned with current industry practice.
Contributing to curriculum design and assessment strategies that reflect emerging technologies and creative trends.
Collaborating with colleagues and industry partners to enhance learner experience and employability.
Providing constructive feedback and guidance to support learner progress and achievement.
Participating in course review, development, and quality assurance processes.
Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of developments within the digital and creative sectors.
