The starting salary will be from 42,632 per annum pro rata on Grade F, depending on qualifications and experience. This post may attract a market supplement, in line with Agenda for Change 8a depending on skills and experience.
The above part time (0.5 FTE, 2.5 days a week) is immediately available until 31 July 2026 on a fixed term basis, in the Doctoral Clinical PGR Programmes Portfolio within the Department of Psychology and Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (HLS).

The role
You will have responsibility for the design, development and production of teaching and learning material and deliver either across a range of modules or within a subject area. You will have responsibility for contributing to the research components of the DForenPsy programme.
You will work with the DForenPsy Research Director to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accord with the Faculty's education strategy and implementing the External Affairs strategy.
The research curriculum, under the University of Exeter's Doctorate in Forensic Psychology (DForenPsy) programme, aims to enable trainee Forensic Psychologists to become evidenced-based sophisticated consumers and producers of forensic and applied research. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and confident researcher who will be dedicated to preparing future Psychologists to become ethical and effective research skilled Scientist Practitioners.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, collaborative team-member and able supervisor and teacher of research techniques, capable of further developing those skills.
Working under the direction of the DForenPsy Research Director and in the context of constructive collaboration with the wider team, the postholder will make a positive and supportive contribution to the research team.
About you
For this post you will:
Possess a depth or breadth of specialist knowledge, demonstrated by a PhD, or equivalent, in an area related to Forensic Psychology in order to teach and support learning on academic area modules.
Use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students;
Participate in and develop external networks, for example, to contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities;
Have evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and have made an impact at discipline programme level beyond their own teaching.
Have experience of supervising postgraduate psychology research.
Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with research supervisees and colleagues.
Have expertise in methodology and research techniques relevant to forensic psychology research.
Be expected to work towards Fellow of the HEA and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
