About ARU:



The Writtle School of Agriculture, Animal and Environmental Sciences was established in 2024 as part of the Faculty of Science & Engineering at ARU. It offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses designed to offer a research-informed, high-quality educational experience. The School is dedicated to advancing knowledge across its land based disciplines, drawing on extensive industry and sector links to evidence developments that put science into practice on its own estate and farm.


About the Role:



Based at the ARU Writtle campus, the Writtle School of Agriculture, Animal and Environmental Sciences is dedicated to fostering sustainable and responsible interactions with the natural world.



Our degree courses are created in close consultation with the industries we support, meaning learning remains current and relevant in a rapidly changing environment. As part of this focus, many of our courses have professional recognition, endorsements or accreditation, held in high regard among employers.



You will be joining the successful Equine and Veterinary Physiotherapy team: a leading provider of quality clinical education in Equine and Animal Therapy in the UK. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Equine Science and a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Equine and Veterinary Physiotherapy to contribute to teaching, assessment and administration on our Equine and Animal Therapy courses



We are seeking candidates with a background in either Equine Business, Bioveterinary Sciences, Research Methods and Equine Health and Disease


We have two posts available



0.5FTE - Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Equine and Veterinary Physiotherapy - fixed term until mid April 2026

1.0 FTE - Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Equine Science - permanent



Candidates should hold a master's degree/PhD with relevant professional qualification. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for this role.
