This new part-time (0.2 FTE) post is immediately available from on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2026 in Clinical Education Development and Research (Cedar), Psychology, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.

The role



By joining Cedar as an academic tutor/supervisor you will join a supportive team with excellent developmental opportunities across the department. You will have responsibility for the design, development and production of teaching and learning material and deliver either across a range of modules within the SFP programme. You will work with the programme team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the academic elements of the programme in accord with the Faculty's education strategy. You will also contribute directly to teaching in one or more of the discipline areas in the Programme.

Specific Purposes of the Job:



Support the director of systemic portfolio and programme lead with the development and delivery of the timetable in line with the curriculum in specified area Contribute to the assessment strategy including module descriptors and marking process in defined area in line with TQA Contribute to accreditation / registration submissions as needed within area Provide teaching in defined area as needed Provide group supervision Provide individual and group tutorials to students

Cedar is a Clinical Applied Psychological Practice Centre of Excellence. We are one of the largest providers of training in evidence-based psychological practice and therapies in the UK. We offer a wide-ranging portfolio from CPD, Professional training Programmes (Undergraduate up to Masters level programmes), through to post qualification and advanced practice courses. This role offers the opportunity to join Cedar in the training and development of the next generation of systemic family practitioners. As part of the National NHS Children and Young People's Psychological Training programmes the SFP programme aims to support the development and training of systemic practitioners increasing the access to evidence based psychological therapy for children and families.

About you



You will:

Possess a depth or breadth of specialist knowledge demonstrated by an MSc in Systemic Family Therapy or a doctorate level training (or equivalent) Use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students; Participate in and develop external networks, for example, to contribute to student recruitment, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities; Will have evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and have made an impact at discipline programme level beyond their own teaching; Be expected to work towards Fellow of the HEA status and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
