Competitive starting salary range from 38,781.00 up to 44,095 pro-rata per annum (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.

The Role

As a Lecturer (Teaching) in Paramedic Science you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience.





Within this role you will work closely with other academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience to ensure, as appropriate, relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.





Duties include:




Teach modules and courses at HE levels 4-7, including curating, adapting, and creating materials; delivering varied learning sessions; and supporting students through formal and informal communication. Design, create, moderate, and quality-assure module assessments. Assess and mark student work, coordinate marking teams for large modules, submit marks within required deadlines, and present results at relevant meetings. Uphold academic integrity across teaching, learning, and assessment, and support students in doing the same. Prepare and deliver generic and specific formative and summative feedback.

Qualifications Required

Currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a paramedic Master's degree in appropriate subject or an Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership and clinical experience. A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body is advantageous

You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Paramedic Science with high standards of teaching, learning and student engagement consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.





Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience supporting, enhancing and engaging in an 'active learning' pedagogy with evidence in proactively supporting student success.





As a global education provider, experience and awareness of learners cultural differences and expectations with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds is essential.





Innovation and collaboration are key to our success, therefore the ability to work both independently and part of a wider team with the willingness to engage in flexible ways of working are key skills required for this role.
