In this role you will contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement in the Department of Allied Health Professionals in the School of Health & Life Sciences, as well as contributing to the wider School and University. In addition to formal teaching in academic modules, you will supervise students on the Student Dental Facility and facilitate and supervise community outreach oral health activity in a range of settings.
You will hold, or be willing to achieve, a relevant Teaching Qualification, normally within 2 years of employment, i.e. PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation.
You must be registered with the General Dental Council as either a Hygienist or Hygiene/Therapist and you must be able to demonstrate contemporary knowledge, experience and skills in this subject area. The ability to contribute to curriculum development and to negotiate and manage practice placement experiences is essential. You will have a first degree and masters' level qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent professional qualification or significant practical work experience in a related discipline.
