Background of department/role

An exciting opportunity to join our friendly, forward-thinking team, to design and deliver a new, innovative Dietetics course, that prepares future dietitians for dynamic careers in health care.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and experienced nutrition professional with a passion for education, collaboration, and student development. The position calls for professional expertise, innovative ideas, and a strong commitment to high-quality teaching, learning, and research. A key responsibility will be contributing to the development and delivery of the new Dietetics course, ensuring it reflects current evidence, professional standards, and the evolving needs of students and the wider health community. Above all, the successful candidate will be an inspiring educator who values inclusion, partnership, and excellence, working collaboratively with colleagues and practice partners to prepare confident, compassionate graduates ready to make a meaningful impact on individuals, communities, and the profession.

Applicants should hold at least an undergraduate degree in a nutrition or a healthcare-related discipline, supported by substantial professional experience. A demonstrated commitment to student-centred learning, innovative teaching practices, and evidence-based professional development is essential, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable requirements:

A postgraduate qualification in a closely related subject and experience in course design or curriculum development would also be advantageous.

Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the service being delivered and to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that the majority of your working time will be spent on campus
