We are looking for two qualified lawyers with experience in practice to join our Bar Practice Course (BPC) team as either a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in our Academic Teams at our London Moorgate Campus.Reporting into our BPC Academic Manager, you will be providing tuition on the BPC and supporting the delivery of other postgraduate courses including the Legal Practice Course, SQE, Law Conversion Programmes, the LLM in Legal Practice, the Post Graduate Diploma in Law (PGDL), Masterxe2x80x99s in Law, PSC/PD, Academic Masters courses and/or other University courses to the best possible standard. The role may also involve conducting the Higher Rights of Audience approved assessments.We are open to applicants in all areas of law, but we are particularly interested in hearing from solicitors and barristers with criminal law and civil litigation experience to teach on the BPC.As our Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer, you will:

• Deliver high quality teaching and support for learning, including communication with other academics for the continuous improvement of teaching and student support
• Identify the need for developing the content, structure, assessment within modules with colleagues and make proposals on how this should be achieved.
• Contribute to effective design and review of inclusive learning. Maintain quality standards and regulations in curricular and assessment design.
• Routinely communicate complex and conceptual ideas to those with limited knowledge and understanding as well as to peers using high level skills
• Act as a module tutor, academic coach and sign-post students on pastoral aspects during their learning journey.

Is this you?:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
• Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards*.
• Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE*
• Sufficient breadth and depth of professional experience in the relevant discipline to develop teaching programmes and learning support
• Professional, credible, commands respect

• Please note that if you do not currently hold this, it is a requirement of the University that you will enrol into the programme (delivered and financially supported by the University), usually within 12 months of passing probation. Successful completion/ qualification is essential to this role.
