Home to four specialist schools: Allied Health Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Nursing and Midwifery, and Leicester School of Pharmacy, the faculty educates and develops professionals who make a significant difference to lives, health, wellbeing, communities and society.

Role

The Leicester School of Pharmacy has an excellent reputation for the delivery of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. As part of the continuing development and expansion of the School we have a fixed-term vacancy (maternity cover) for a highly motivated lecturer in Pharmaceutical Science. You will join an enthusiastic team working in modern teaching and research facilities. You will be a key part of the team and will be responsible for the delivery of teaching as well as engaging in research and contributing to ongoing programme development.

The Pharmaceutics team within the Leicester School of Pharmacy support several programmes including our MPharm, BSc Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Science and M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Quality by Design. Our research group is also very strong, with significant grant funding and an excellent publication profile.

Ideal Candidate

You will have a BSc and PhD in pharmaceutics or a closely related area. You will be expected to contribute to research and external income generation within the Faculty and produce publications in an relevant area. Experience of teaching at HE level is desirable, but not essential for this role. We also place high value on contributions to academic citizenship activity in the school.
