The Role



Reporting to the Legal & Compliance Manager, this role will support the development and execution of group and global legal, compliance and risk management systems and processes across the business and the group's various companies.

Our Legal & Compliance Associate will help the Legal & Compliance Team to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, manage compliance audits, support corporate governance, oversee the maintenance of key policies and contractual obligations, as well as, support in the resolution of investigations, contractual disputes and other contentious matters - no two days will be the same!

Your Day-to-Day



Our Legal & Compliance Associate will:

Assist in the development and implementation of systems and processes both regulatory and data protection-centric to assure our compliance commitments Conduct legal research into new areas of business and geographical locations to identify legal and compliance threats or risks Manage periodic reviews of contractual and policy documentation including; service agreements, terms and conditions, privacy policies and compliance documents Assist in the creation and development of legal processes and procedures to streamline business operations and increase protections to service delivery Advise and collaborate with key internal stakeholders on the implementation of legal and compliance requirements per department and support on its delivery Continually research and present on relevant legal and compliance updates which will affect business operations
The role will support in focusing on our five core areas; Commercial/Contracts, Regulatory & Compliance, Employment, Contentious & Litigation and Data Protection and the Legal & Compliance Associate can expect to do the following:

Commercial/Contract

- Assist in the development of contractual playbooks and standardised contracts

- Assist and manage contract negotiations through redlines and comments

- Research legal updates/position in key and common contractual areas

Regulatory & Compliance

- Become well-versed on the regulatory environment for advertising, billing, consumer protection and data protection in various geographical locations

- Assist in development of global compliance framework by producing guides, checklists and processes to ensure compliance

Contentious & Litigation

- Assist in pre-legal work to progress claims or resolution of disputes, i.e. drafting formal notices, letters before action, etc

- Collating and documenting evidence to support the company's position in dealing with contentious matters

Data Protection

- Assist in the maintenance and development of the company's data privacy framework

- Support the data protection lead in developing policies and procedures around data protection compliance

Employment

- Advise the HR function on issues including employee relations and developments in employment law that may affect business operations

- Draft company policies to reflect changes to operations in the business

What You Will Need



Our Legal & Compliance Associate must have:

Bachelor's Degree (2.1 or above)

3-5 years' experience in a legal and/or compliance setting

Experience in project management

Experience in compliance or regulatory environments

International regulatory or compliance experience would be desirable.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
