We are pleased to share an opportunity for someone to us as a Legal Assistant (Compliance). This is a 12 Month Secondment opportunity, for internal applicants and a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, for external applicants.
This role is working from our King Street office, in Norwich. This job is working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday and Flexible Working will be considered.
As a Legal Assistant (Compliance), you will assist the Litigation Team with their caseload of compliance legal work related to tenants failing to provide access to properties. In particular, you will directly support the work of the Litigation Paralegal undertaking compliance work for the organisation.
You'll provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external customers by adhering to internal policies and procedures and having a good understanding of the law that underpins these. Effectively problem solving and putting forward solutions and improvements where you can see opportunities to make things better. You'll assist the effective collection and development of measures by ensuring all internal systems are kept up to date.
Helping to coordinate the effective communication of key stakeholders to ensure efficiency between teams across the Group and to ensure both business and customer needs are met. You'll prioritise competing demands, using your knowledge of business needs and the law to help decide on the appropriate course of action in each case.
Applications are welcomed for the role of Legal Assistant (Compliance) from those who have ideally, previous experience of working in a law firm or the tenancy enforcement department of a landlord or alternatively experience of supporting the administration of legal work.
You'll have demonstrable problem-solving skills and will constantly seek to do things better. Using information about customers' needs as the basis of problem-solving, decision-making and organisational action. You must be competent to use Microsoft Office packages, particularly Microsoft Excel. Educated to GCSE standard, or equivalent. It is desirable that you have a legal qualification or am working towards this and/or suitable relevant experience.
