Dealing with queries raised by clients, solicitors and other involved parties
Provide client updates and monitor matter progression
Opening and closing matters on the case management system compliant with the firm's AML and quality standards and SRA regulations
Supervised drafting of basic correspondence, forms and documents.
Submitting/registering forms and legal documents HMCTS, Legal Aid Agency
Maintaining contact lists and calendars for fee earners
Monitoring deadlines, manage appointments and diaries
Preparing and submitting bills, payments and receipts, liaising with the finance team
Handling overflow client telephone calls
Reception cover
Preparing and taking the banking and post
General administrative tasks
Other duties as required to ensure the efficient running of the office
Requirements for this role include:
Previous work experience as family law legal assistant/secretary
Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
Advanced computer literacy (word, excel, outlook)
Working knowledge of case management software
Proficiency in English
Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
Attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Hours: Mon - Fri 09.00 - 17.15
Holiday: 26 days plus Bank Holidays
Salary: Dependent on experience
