The Role



As a Legal Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in progressing a broad manner of conveyancing matters under the direction and supervision of a qualified member of staff. Duties will include opening new cases, undertaking client due diligence and AML checks, taking a proactive role in reporting to both clients and introducers in relation to the progress of their transaction, ensuring matter files and billing systems are up to date, interpreting legal correspondence, forms and procedures (under supervision) and ensuring all associated administration tasks are completed in a timely manner.

As such, with hard work the right person would typically progress from Legal Assistant to Senior Legal Assistant in a relatively short period of time. We are also a registered training provider meaning we can offer our staff the opportunity to go on and complete a training contract with us. Training contracts are only offered to existing members of staff.

Essential Criteria



GCSE Maths and English Grade A - C. Experience using Word, Excel and Outlook. Can demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Criteria



A Law Degree (ideally 2:1 or above) or equivalent Law Qualification. Prior legal experience or work experience. Experience working within a service-driven administrative team.
