More about us:

Formed via a merger in 2020, Moore Barlow is a leading law firm aiming to be the best law firm to work for regionally. We are a career firm, providing access to high-quality work, long-term career opportunities and an environment built on the premise of being "human first" in everything we do. Put simply, we care as much about your career as you do.

We are featured in The Times' Best Law Firms 2025 list, and consistently achieve recognition for the quality of our services in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

We are now 450 people, including 280 lawyers and 58 Partners, with offices across the South-East and London.

More about the Plot Sales Team:

Our highly-experienced and leading Plot Sales Team, led by Zoe Owen, is a nationally-recognised team that provides a holistic and integrated service, working closely with our specialist Land Development Team, to developers looking to sell individual plots that comprise a much larger development.

Given the complex nature of modern-day developments, the variety of plots and property types, as well as the time pressures associated with the plot sale process, our team's success is built on expertise, proactivity, and a genuine understanding of all client's unique circumstances and objectives.

It is through this approach that the team have established themselves as a trusted partner of a variety of developers; ranging from large household name housebuilders, through to smaller "one-off" developers.

Day to day:

The Plot Sales Team is highly regarded for its quality of work, efficiency, and consistently strong client service. Client care sits at the core of our approach, and our team structure reflects this -- each lawyer partners with a dedicated group of clients, allowing them to build meaningful relationships, anticipate needs, and deliver tailored, high-quality advice.

As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support to one of our lawyers, helping them operate at optimum efficiency and ensuring our clients receive an exceptional experience. You will take an active role in managing and progressing a broad range of matters for your allocated client group, while also working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider team.

Your duties will include;

Preparing and issuing reservation documents to clients. Accurately scanning, photocopying, and filing legal documents. Handling telephone enquiries professionally and ensuring clear and accurate information is passed to the relevant colleagues. Providing general administrative support to fee earners across the team. Assisting with the preparation of documents for client meetings and ongoing casework.

What we look for:

We expect this position will suit an individual at the early stages of their career - perhaps a law graduate or someone with strong administrative experience looking for a new challenge (legal studies are not a requirement). You will have excellent attention to detail, a proactive mindset and the confidence to support multiple colleagues in a busy environment. You will be naturally organised, efficient, and comfortable working at pace while maintaining accuracy. You will have a warm, open approach and enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive team environment. Above all, you will share our human-first values - bringing strong communication skills, a commitment to excellent client service, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning and developing your skills.

If you have the required skills and experience and are keen to advance your career as part of our specialist Plot Sales Team, then we strongly encourage you to apply.
