We're seeking a Legal Assistant to join our dynamic Wills & Probate department in Haverfordwest. In this vital role, you'll provide key support to our legal professionals while helping deliver exceptional service to our clients.
This is a great opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced legal setting, where your responsibilities will include preparing legal documents, managing case files, liaising with clients, and assisting fee earners with complex matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day support to solicitors and legal executives handling wills, probate, and estate administration matters
Draft letters, legal forms, and standard documents with precision and attention to detail
Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries when required
Handle incoming client queries with professionalism and empathy, both by phone and in writing
Manage administrative tasks such as file opening, archiving, billing, and compliance checks
Coordinate appointments, manage diaries, and ensure documentation is up to date and accurate
Help onboard new clients by gathering information, assisting with paperwork, and ensuring a smooth start to their legal journey
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a legal setting is desired - either a work experience placement or professionally
Interest in Wills & Probate area of law.
Strong IT and typing skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Excellent organisational ability and a high level of attention to detail
Friendly, clear, and professional communication skills -- both written and verbal
A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to work
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and remain calm under pressure
