Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented book keeper to become an integral part of our accounts department. The ideal candidate will maintain our financial records and ensure compliance with Law Society regulations. You will be supported in the role by our current legal book keeper and by an Accounts Administrator.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining client ledgers
Bank reconciliations daily and identify any discrepancies
Handling billing and invoicing to clients
Completing VAT returns
Recording all transactions into accounting software and ensuring accuracy
Handling payroll/Pension/PAYE contributions/employees expenses
Paying office invoices
Process credit/debit card transactions
Process cash machine transactions
Provide financial reports on a monthly balance to includes Balance sheet, profit and loss and Trial balance
Bank lodgment's
Working with the firm's accountants for Tax P11D /year end accounts
Qualifications:
Education:
Previous experience as a book keeper preferably as a legal book keeper is an essential criteria.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
