Job Description

We are seeking a Legal Cashier to join a professional services firm in Basingstoke. This role requires expertise in managing financial transactions and ensuring compliance within the accounting and finance department.

Manage client and office accounts in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Process daily banking transactions and reconcile accounts accurately.
Handle payments, receipts, and transfers efficiently.
Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with legal guidelines.
Assist with month-end and year-end financial procedures.
Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).
Respond to financial queries and provide support to the accounting team.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all financial activities.

A successful Legal Cashier should have:

Proven knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).
Experience in a professional services environment.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial processes.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
