Legal Cashier - Excellent Firm - Exeter

Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a highly reputable and well-established law firm in Exeter, is seeking a detail-driven and proactive Legal Cashier to join their growing finance team. Key Responsibilities:

• Processing daily financial transactions in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules
• Managing client and office accounts, including transfers and reconciliations
• Posting disbursements, purchase ledger invoices, and banking
• Handling BACS/CHAPS payments and ensuring all monies are recorded accurately
• Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting
• Responding to internal queries from fee earners and support staff
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audits

About You:

• Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm is essential
• Strong understanding of SRA Accounts Rules
• High level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
• Confident using legal finance systems (e.g., SOS, Proclaim, Leap, or similar)
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
