We are seeking a skilled Legal Cashier to join a professional services team in Glasgow. This role requires expertise in accounting and finance to ensure accurate financial transactions and compliance with relevant regulations.
The successful Legal Cashier will likely have the following responsibilities:

• Processing client and office account transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) rules and regulations.
• Handling bank reconciliations for client and office accounts.
• Managing incoming and outgoing payments, including electronic transfers.
• Preparing and posting journals for corrections and adjustments.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes.
• Providing support to the wider accounting team as required.
• Responding to internal and external queries in a timely manner.

The successful Legal Cashier should have:

• Previous experience in a legal cashiering or similar finance role within professional services.
• Strong knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and relevant regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with colleagues and clients.
