A large, well-known public sector organisation is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its commercial legal team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial lawyer looking to develop their in-house career, working on complex, high-value projects in a supportive and progressive environment.
The Legal Counsel will be:
Advising on a broad range of commercial contracts, construction and procurement matters
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
Supporting project teams with legal advice across complex, long-term programmes
Working closely with internal stakeholders to manage legal risk and compliance
Developing commercial and legal expertise through exposure to varied workstreams

The Legal Counsel should be:
A solicitor with experience in commercial or public sector work
Comfortable drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
Keen to learn, develop and progress within an in-house legal environment
Able to provide clear, pragmatic advice to non-legal stakeholders
Organised, proactive and collaborative in approach
