We are looking for a junior solicitor to join our small, highly-successful UK legal team. We work in an open, collaborative style, offering the chance to develop alongside expert lawyers. Our core work is the delivery of commercially-astute legal advice with a strong emphasis on privacy. Broader work involves a host of other legal disciplines and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career in other areas.




What you'll do



Give commercially-aware and pragmatic legal advice, most commonly in the area of commercial law and data privacy, ensuring that: proper account is taken of legal and regulatory risks to protect the Company's position; and the Company's commercial objectives are fully supported Draft and negotiate commercial agreements Support the design, drafting, implementation and communication of enhancements and amendments to existing templates, policies and processes Monitor new laws and regulations relevant to the Company's business, including seeking out strategic opportunities from forthcoming changing regulation Devise and deliver legal training for colleagues Contribute to the development of the in house legal function, ensuring the team continues to be regarded as a respected adviser, trusted partner and business enabler Take a share of the team's functional and administrative tasks



What experience you need



Qualified as a solicitor in the UK A solid working knowledge of data protection and commercial contracting Experience of drafting and negotiating commercial agreements As a guide, we are ideally looking for someone at the level of 1 - 4 years practice experience

Salary:

70,000 - 76,500 + 10% Bonus
