Job Description

Douglas Scott are seeking a in-house solicitor with a litigation background to join our client in Yorkshire. This is predominantly an office based role - 1 day home working per week.
Role: Legal Counsel
Location: Yorkshire
The Role

Take the lead on Litigation matters related to supplier disputes, debt recovery and other contentious matters
Draft and negotiate contracts including supply & distribution, NDA's, logistics, outsourcing, IT/software
Support legal team colleagues and business areas including Finance, Sales, HR, Logistics and Operations
Work closely with he General Counsel on compliance an regulatory matters including Data Protections, Sanctions, AML

In House Solicitors who are happy to retain an element of Litigation work, whilst also broadening their skills to include the above are encouraged to apply. Ideally you will have previous experience of commercial Litigation and an exposure to commercial contract work.
You'll be joining a fast paced Retail business where you're guaranteed to gain excellent exposure to quality in-house work. Supported by a wider team, you'll benefit from good supervision and valuable opportunities to grow as an in-house specialist.
