As a Legal Delivery Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of paralegals who work on a wide range of routine legal tasks with a focus on Data Protection. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the team delivers a high-quality service both internally and externally, while adhering to service level agreements, company values and compliance policies. The Role offers flexible working with 3 office days based in our Manchester office.


Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

: Provide effective leadership, setting clear expectations, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Regulatory Compliance

: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment in which the team operates, including relevant compliance policies. Ensure that the team's activities are fully compliant with these regulations.

Performance Metrics

: Track individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to overall team performance, including financial and non-financial measures, where applicable.

Employee Development

: Conduct regular one-on-one meetings (1-1s) to foster employee engagement, identify areas of improvement, and develop and document individualised development plans for team members.

Procedural Compliance

: Ensure strict adherence to the procedures of the business as outlined in core materials, manuals, and training materials.

Client Liaison

: Engage with internal clients to gather insights into operational performance and address any escalated issues. Work collaboratively to define mutually agreed-upon objectives.

File Reviews

: Conduct thorough file reviews with a high level of attention to detail to optimise the progression of matters in an efficient and effective manner.

Performance Review

: Fully engage with the firm's performance review cycle to facilitate professional growth.

Prioritisation and Organisation

: Prioritise and organise work efficiently and effectively to ensure all delegated tasks are completed to specified deadlines and consistently meet high standards.

Support

: Provide support and assistance to the Legal Delivery Manager to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently adhered to, delivering exceptional service.

What will help you succeed in this role? :

Essential



Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A high level of attention to detail. Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels. A positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach. Strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple demands, prioritising workloads. Proficiency in using Case Management Systems and relevant software. Thorough understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance policies. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure. Commitment to ethical and fair business practices. A good knowledge of data protection and cyber security. CIPP/E Certification.
