As we continue to grow, we are now seeking an experienced Legal Operations Manager to oversee the smooth and compliant running of the firm's operations.

The Role
Reporting to the Partners, the Legal Operations Manager will take responsibility for the firm's operational, financial, and claims management. The position requires strong leadership, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Administration
Manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficient practice management and client service.
Oversee office systems, supplier relationships, and administrative processes.
Implement and maintain effective policies and procedures across the firm.
Maintain records for AML, data protection, and quality assurance.
Conduct internal audits and support regulatory reporting.
Finance & Reporting
Liaise with accounts department and Partners on budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
Oversee billing, credit control, and cashflow processes.
Prepare and monitor management reports and performance indicators.
People & HR
Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
Manage HR processes, policies, and employee relations in line with legislation.
Foster a positive and collaborative working culture.
Business Development & Strategy
Contribute to the firm's strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
Support marketing and client relationship management activities.
Identify opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and service improvement.
Skills and Experience Required
Essential:
Proven experience in a Practice Manager or similar leadership role within a law firm.
Strong knowledge of Personal injury, SRA compliance and legal finance regulations.
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Commercially aware with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach.
Proficient in legal practice management software and Microsoft Office.
Highly organised, resilient and comfortable operating under pressure.
Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
Confident communicator who builds credibility with senior stakeholders.
Desirable:
HR qualifications (e.g., CIPD).
Litigation experience
Experience in small to medium-sized firm environments.
