We are hiring for Legal Professionals to join our Advanced Delivery Legal team in Belfast in August 2026.

The Belfast office is a key part of A&O Shearman's Global Advanced Delivery & Solutions teams. What you will do
As a Legal Professional at A&O Shearman, you will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of practice groups, including ICM, Corporate, Real Estate, Litigation, and Banking & Finance. Our exceptional training program is designed to complement your law degree and support your future career development. Additionally, there may be opportunities for secondment to various offices within the A&O network or client sites.
In this role you will be involved in a wide range of projects across multiple jurisdictions. On a typical day, you could be reviewing disclosure in litigation proceedings for the Dubai office, as well as performing due diligence and contract reviews on high profile matters for our London office.

• Other responsibilities may include:
• Document review
• Due diligence exercises (primarily extracting information)
• Company searches
• Joining product group-specific teams, e.g. company incorporations and ICM checklists
• Legal research
• Becoming proficient in Litigation e-Discovery platforms
• Working with Legal Technology generally - testing/trialling tools and pipeline technology

What we look for

• A qualifying law degree (2:1 or above) with a minimum of 3 A Levels or equivalent (ideally grades ABB or above). In lieu of A Level grades, work experience in an office based environment will also be considered.
• A professional manner with high levels of commercial awareness, analytical skills and critical thinking.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
