Conveyancing Legal Secretary
to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in residential conveyancing support.
Key Responsibilities
As a Conveyancing Legal Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting our conveyancing solicitors and ensuring the smooth running of residential property transactions. Duties include:
Assisting solicitors with case management and administrative support
Drafting and typing correspondence from digital dictation
Managing incoming and outgoing communications (calls, emails, post)
Opening, closing, and archiving client files
Handling post-completion tasks, including registrations
Preparing legal documents such as contracts, transfers, and deeds
Using portals including LandWeb, HMRC, LMS, and NHBC
Managing law searches and submitting SDLT returns
Scanning, printing, and electronic filing of documentation
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in conveyancing
Proficiency in digital case management systems (e.g., Insight or similar)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
Familiarity with online portals used in conveyancing (e.g., Land Registry, HMRC SDLT, LMS)
Excellent organisational, communication, and multitasking skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage a busy workload independently
