Job Description

A leading international law firm is looking for a proactive and organised Legal Secretary to provide high-quality support to fee-earners in their Bristol office. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic professional services environment, supporting the real estate team and developing your career in legal administration.
The Role:
You'll provide comprehensive secretarial support to fee-earners, enabling them to focus on delivering legal services to clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Diary & Contact Management: Proactively manage fee-earners' diaries, schedule meetings, co-ordinate internal/external calls, and ensure all meetings run smoothly.
  • Travel & Meeting Arrangements: Organise travel, hotels, car transfers, video conferences, taxis, and refreshments; prepare detailed itineraries.
  • Administrative Support: Handle day-to-day tasks such as photocopying, scanning, filing, couriers, and new matter opening using firm systems.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and proofread correspondence, presentations, agendas, and meeting papers; maintain CVs and pitch materials in line with firm style.
  • Billing & Financial Support: Assist with billing processes, submit expenses and invoices, generate WIP reports, and input time for fee-earners.
  • Systems & Client Management: Use internal systems to update contacts, manage client information, and support business development activities.
Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Secretary or PA in a professional services environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with document management systems
  • Excellent attention to detail, discretion, and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills and client-focused approach
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure
