Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to solicitors in the Family Department.
• Prepare, type, and format legal documents and correspondence (audio and copy typing).
• Manage client interactions professionally, both in person and over the phone, ensuring excellent client care.
• Maintain and organise client files, including opening, closing, and archiving both digital and paper files.
• Assist with monthly billing, accounts requisitions, and statements of account.
• Prepare and collate court bundles, briefs, and supporting documentation for hearings.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings with clients, counsel, and experts.
• Handle incoming and outgoing post, scanning, and diary management for court dates and directions.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Strong IT skills with proficiency in MS Office and audio typing (approx. 70 wpm).
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with family law processes, forms, and terminology (desirable).
• Experience with case management systems (Visual Files and SOS preferred).
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
