Kitson & Trotman are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Family and Matrimonial department. Experience within this area of law is preferred but not essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role will be focused on supporting the Head of Family Law:
Acting as the main point of contact between clients and the legal team by telephone, in person and via correspondence.
Managing the production of confidential correspondence and documentation.
Producing documentation and correspondence as required using audio transcription.
Maintaining fee earner diaries, making appointments and coordinating internal and external meetings.
The above sets out the main responsibilities of the role but the requirement is not limited thereto.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience as a legal secretary is essential.
Experience of working in the family department of a law firm is desirable.
Microsoft office experience with strong computer, telephone and communication skills.
A high level of discretion and confidentiality.
Proof-reading skills are required to ensure a consistent and accurate standard.
The ability to time-manage and prioritise your work is essential.
Salary: Dependent upon experience and qualification.
Audio transcription experience is essential (2 years plus)
