Barker Gotelee LLP is a highly regarded Chambers/Legal 500 rated firm established in 1988. We are currently seeking a Legal Secretary to support our highly successful Commercial Property team.
The successful candidate will join the existing team of secretaries to provide efficient, proactive and professional secretarial and administrative support to a range of fee-earners. You will need to have previous experience working as a legal secretary within a property team and be confident in working to tight deadlines.
With a positive and enthusiastic attitude, the successful candidate will have a high level of written and verbal communication skills, excellent organisational skills as well as being proficient in MS Office.
Responsibilities
File opening, billing and file closing.
Digital dictation (Big Hand).
Working with a case management system (SOS).
Ongoing management of team members' diaries and Outlook calendars.
ID checks and preparation of client care letters
Assistance in general team administration including meeting and greeting clients, taking calls and directing accordingly and arranging meeting room bookings.
Undertaking online Land Registry searches
Managing post completions procedures including SDLT returns and title registrations.
Experience
Strong document management and typing skills.
A good eye for detail.
Good organisation and time management abilities.
Excellent team player.
Motivated with a strong commitment to learning.
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a property team is essential.
Experience of using PLC, DocuSign and Adobe Pro is preferable.
Specific experience of Landlord and Tenant and Agriculture would be an advantage.

Pay: 24,000.00-27,000.00 per year
