We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a thorough understanding of legal terminology and procedures. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing essential support to solicitors and clients alike.
Duties
Provide comprehensive administrative support to legal professionals, including managing schedules and appointments.
Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports using Microsoft Word and other relevant software.
Conduct audio typing for dictations and transcriptions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Maintain an organised filing system for both electronic and paper documents, facilitating easy access to important information.
Assist with client communications via email and phone, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
Manage case files, including tracking deadlines and ensuring timely submissions of documents.
Utilise Microsoft Outlook for scheduling meetings and managing calendars effectively.
Support the preparation of presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint as required.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient office operations while demonstrating strong time management skills.
Skills
Proficient in audio typing with a keen eye for detail.
Previous administrative experience within a legal environment is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
Strong typing skills with the ability to produce high-quality documents swiftly.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
