We are seeking a proactive, organised, and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our busy Conveyancing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 6 months of conveyancing experience, or a recent law graduate with prior admin exposure in a legal environment and a strong interest in property law.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing full administrative and secretarial support to conveyancing solicitors
Handling client communication via phone, email, and in person
Preparing and formatting legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
Managing case files and ensuring all documents are accurately filed and updated
Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process
Assisting with post-completion matters such as SDLT and Land Registry applications
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 6 months' experience in a conveyancing/legal secretary role
OR a recent law graduate with relevant administrative experience and a genuine interest in property law
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Confident working independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in MS Office and legal case management systems
Desirable (but not essential):
Knowledge of case management software (e.g., LEAP, Proclaim, etc.)
Understanding of the full conveyancing process from instruction to completion
