We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative support within our legal team. Duties
Drafting, editing, and formatting legal documents using Microsoft Word and other Office applications
Managing and maintaining case files and legal documentation with accuracy and confidentiality
Performing audio typing of dictations, correspondence, and reports in a timely manner
Organising appointments, meetings, and court dates using Microsoft Outlook and calendar management tools
Assisting with the preparation of presentations and reports through Microsoft PowerPoint
Handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence professionally, ensuring prompt responses
Supporting the legal team with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and legal standards in all documentation
Managing IT systems relevant to legal operations to facilitate efficient workflow
Skills
Proven experience in administrative roles, ideally within a legal setting
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in audio typing with high accuracy and speed
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Good IT literacy to adapt to various software applications used within the organisation
Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines consistently
Attention to detail in document preparation and data handling
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
