Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team, responsible for evaluating and managing risks associated with Legionella bacteria in various water systems. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, conducting thorough assessments, and providing expert recommendations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction, water safety, or environmental health to contribute to public safety and organisational compliance.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed inspections of water systems to identify potential Legionella risks. Collect samples Develop comprehensive risk assessment reports highlighting areas of concern and recommended mitigation measures. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to implement control strategies effectively. Maintain accurate records of all assessments, findings, and actions taken in accordance with regulatory requirements. Use power tools where necessary for accessing difficult or confined spaces safely during inspections. Advise on the installation, maintenance, and repair of water systems to minimise bacterial growth. Stay updated with current legislation, guidelines, and best practices related to Legionella management.

Experience

Proven experience is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in inspection or maintenance tasks is advantageous. Previous experience conducting risk assessments or working within water safety protocols is desirable. Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation related to water systems management is beneficial. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for accurate reporting and compliance. A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
