Volunteer Police Cadet (VPC) Scheme
.
Since its launch in 2015, the VPC programme has grown significantly, now supporting nearly 120 cadets across four active units in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. Our Volunteer Cadet Leaders play a vital role in guiding and mentoring these young people.
What You'll Do
As a Volunteer Cadet Leader, you'll:
Support and supervise cadets during their activities and deployments
Help build confidence, discipline, and community spirit among young people
Be a positive role model and part of a supportive team
What We're Looking For
To join us, you'll need:
Strong communication skills
A team-oriented mindset
To be aged 18 or over
No prior experience is necessary - we'll provide you with tailored training, ongoing support, and guidance from our Force VPC Lead Coordinator.

Cadet Unit Details
Our cadet units meet weekly for two hours, typically from 6pm to 8pm. You'll be able to indicate your preferred location when applying:
